About our Ballina clinic
Ballina is where North Coast Head Neck & Jaw Centre began. Since 2024 we have practised from consulting rooms within Ballina Health Centre on Tamar Street, a short walk from the town centre and the river.
This is a clinic with a single focus. Rather than general osteopathy, we concentrate on conditions affecting the head, neck and jaw: headaches and migraine, jaw and facial pain, neck pain and whiplash, dizziness and vertigo, and concussion. Because of that focus, people travel to see us from well beyond Ballina, often after symptoms have persisted despite other care.
Appointments are unhurried. A first consultation runs for an hour so there is time to take a proper history, examine thoroughly and explain what we have found before any treatment begins.

Parking and access
Parking is available directly out the front of the clinic, with additional street parking on Tamar Street and surrounding streets. The rooms are at ground level with step-free access from the car park.
Ballina Health Centre is a shared medical building, so please come to the main reception and let them know you have an appointment with North Coast Head Neck & Jaw Centre.
Booking and fees
You can book online at any time. When booking, select the Ballina clinic, then choose the appointment type and a time that suits you.
New patients pay a 50% deposit at the time of booking, with the balance paid on the day. We have HICAPS on site for private health fund claims. If you have a GP management plan, the Medicare rebate ($61.80) is processed online by the clinic and usually reaches your account within two to three business days.

- We also accept DVA patients on a case-by-case basis.
Conditions we treat in Ballina
Headaches
Frequent headaches are rarely random. Tension in the neck, jaw dysfunction or nerve irritation is often behind them, and finding which one changes the treatment.
Migraine
Migraine is a neurological condition with physical contributors we can assess. We help you manage triggers, calm the nervous system and reduce the impact of episodes.
Jaw & Orofacial Pain
Grinding, clenching, clicking or aching around the jaw usually involves the joint, the muscles and the neck together. We assess all three and treat what is driving it.
Whiplash & Neck Pain
Neck pain after a car accident, a surfing wipeout or years of poor posture needs a clear diagnosis before it needs treatment. We work out what is involved, then restore movement.
Vertigo & Dizziness
Spinning, unsteadiness or a floating feeling can come from the inner ear, the neck or both. We test carefully to find the cause and tailor rehabilitation to it.
Concussion
Recovery after a head knock is different for everyone. We assess the neck, balance and visual systems and guide a gradual, paced return to sport, work and daily life.
