Targeted osteopathic care for complex issues affecting the head, neck and jaw.
Many common conditions affecting the head, neck and jaw are related to muscle, joint or nerve dysfunction, and often overlap. Headaches can start in the neck, jaw problems can drive facial pain and dizziness, and concussion can leave lingering symptoms in all three areas. Because these systems are so closely connected, we assess them together rather than in isolation.
A first appointment is a full hour. It begins with a detailed history, followed by a physical examination of the neck, jaw, balance and nervous system as relevant to your symptoms, and a clear explanation of what we have found. From there we agree a plan, which may include hands-on treatment, exercises, advice on daily habits and, where needed, co-management with your GP, dentist or other providers.
If you are not sure whether osteopathy is right for your symptoms, or whether you should see your GP first, get in touch and we will point you in the right direction. We consult from clinics in Ballina and Lismore. Below are the conditions we help people with most often.
We help uncover the cause of your headaches, whether from neck tension, jaw dysfunction or nerve irritation. Treatment is tailored to reduce frequency and intensity.
Migraine is a complex condition often linked to the nervous system. We support your recovery through manual therapy, lifestyle advice and trigger management.
Pain, tightness or clicking in the jaw may indicate TMD. Jaw movement, muscles and surrounding structures: we assess all three.
Neck pain after injury or strain can affect movement, sleep and posture. We provide targeted treatment and self care strategies to support healing.
Balance issues and dizziness can be linked to the neck, jaw or inner ear. We assess your symptoms and guide you through rehab and recovery.
Ongoing symptoms after concussion are common. We provide assessment, gentle treatment and guidance to help you move safely through recovery.
If you are not sure which of these fits your symptoms, we can help you work it out. Book online at our Ballina or Lismore clinic, or get in touch with any questions.
